From Your Roofer: Guide to filing a hail claim.

If your home was recently hit by hail, here’s a quick guide to help you through the insurance claim process, so you can get your repairs started without the stress:

    Start With a Quick Inspection

Take a walk around your property. Look for dents in gutters, damage to siding, missing shingles, or any signs of impact. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to take a look for you!

    Document Everything

Snap clear photos of any visible damage. If you still have hail on the ground, grab a picture of that too—it helps tell the story.

    Check Your Insurance Policy

Every policy is different. Review your coverage details, especially the deductible and what’s covered under hail or wind damage.

    Call Your Insurance Company

Let them know you’ve had storm damage and want to start a claim. They’ll assign a claim number and schedule an adjuster to inspect your home.

Have a Roofer Present During the Adjuster Visit

We recommend having a trusted contractor (like us) on-site when the adjuster arrives. We’ll help make sure nothing gets overlooked and advocate for the full scope of repairs.

    Save Receipts and Notes

Keep track of any temporary repairs, purchases, and all conversations with your insurance company. It’s always good to have a paper trail.

    Don’t Rush Into Signing Anything

Hold off on signing any repair contracts or insurance settlement papers until you’re confident in the scope and estimate. We can help you review everything.
